Cofarm4cities – Meeting

In the context of the Interreg CE project CoFarm4Cities, the City of Turin organised a series of in-depth meetings on the topic of sustainable agriculture as an action against urban sprawl, particularly in the peri-urban area.

On 8 May, some local follower cities came to Cascina Falchera for a session dedicated to them, moderated by the Department of Agricultural, Forestry and Food Sciences of the University of Turin.

Together with the foreign delegation of Cleverfood, and a visiting international university group, they then visited the new community gardens of Cascina Falchera, owned by the City of Turin and in concession to Consorzio Kairos. The day ended with a practical demonstration of circular recipes using produce from the gardens. The community gardens represent the pilot action of CoFarm4Cities, towards the project objective: a unique and replicable model of sustainable agriculture, as circular as possible and generating value and social inclusion.
