Torino hosts the first meeting of the Cofarm4cities project

In the past few days, on October 10 and 11, the City of Torino and the Kairos Consortium welcomed the international partners of CoFarm4Cities to the Cascina Falchera spaces for the first project meeting.

It was an opportunity to develop the project’s upcoming activities together through nonformal workshops and visits to relevant initiatives in the Turin area: Agrobarriera, an urban and social agriculture program in the Barriera di Milano neighborhood, and Orti Generali, in Mirafiori, where the group was able to taste a small circular menu, from sweet to savory, all beet-flavored, developed in the context of the European Fusilli project.

CoFarm4Cities aims to test and develop sustainable, replicable, productive and participatory models of urban agriculture through 5 pilots in the cities of Torino, Zagreb (HR), Ljubljana (SI), Krakow (PL) and the district of Óbuda-Békásmegyer Municipality (HU) as lead partner.

In addition to the cities mentioned above, the Institute for Circular Economy, Óbuda University, and Association DOVES – FEE Slovenia are also participating.

The project is being developed under the Interreg Central Europe program.
