The City of Torino and SMAT won first prize in the Circular Water Management section

On 9 November in Rimini, as part of the Ecomondo trade fair, a ceremony was held to award the ๐๐ซ๐ž๐ฆ๐ข๐จ ๐’๐ฏ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐จ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‘, the award established for the thirteenth year by the Foundation for Sustainable Development and ECOMONDO – ITALIAN EXHIBITION GROUP under the patronage of the Italian Ministry for the Environment and Energy Security, destined for companies, start-ups and local administrations that have distinguished themselves for eco-innovation, effectiveness of environmental and economic results and their dissemination potential.

The Municipality of Turin, together with SMAT – Societร  Metropolitana Acque di Torino, won the Circular Water Management section prize, organised with the participation of ENEA and intended for projects relating to water saving (urban, industrial, agricultural), the containment of leaks in water and sewage networks, the reuse of purified wastewater in agriculture, the recovery of raw materials and fertilisers from urban and industrial wastewater, and the production of biogas from sewage sludge.

The award was obtained for the actions carried out with the European project CWC – City Water Circles for rainwater management in the House of Youth Mobility and Interculture in Turin.
